The commercial inspection form is long, but it is built in a fixed order. Once you know the order, you always know where you are.
The sections from top to bottom
| Section | What you do there | Filled in |
|---|---|---|
| Assignment information (From service agreement) | Check the inspection company, inspector and contractor | Partly prefilled from the service agreement |
| Inspection object | Describe the building: address, building data, inspection date | Before or during the inspection |
| Installation identification and metering points | Record metering point ID, earthing system and main fuse | On site |
| Electro-thermography — equipment and conditions | Document the camera, calibration and conditions | On site |
| Inspection points | The 70 points under NEK 405-3 Annex A, section A.2 | During the inspection |
| Electro-thermography protocol | The objects you have thermographed | During and after |
| Non-inspected objects | What could not be assessed | During and after |
| Conclusion | General comments and recommendations | At the end |
Good to know
- Each section opens and closes with the arrow on the right of the coloured heading bar. You don't need everything open at once.
- The colour of the heading bar tells you what the section is. Green is the assignment and the object, purple is thermography, dark is the inspection points.
- Fields are saved as you type.
- The inspection points are divided into chapters, for example "A.2.4 – Distribution boards (main, sub-distribution, control cabinets)". Each chapter has its own counter.
Tips
- Fill in Assignment information and Inspection object before you head out. Then you spend the time on site on the installation.
- The thermography section needs camera details you have in your pocket or in the case. Enter them once, they apply to the whole inspection.
- Close the sections you have finished. The form gets shorter to scroll through, especially on mobile.
Do I have to fill in the sections in order?
No. You can jump around freely, and everything is saved as you go. The order is a recommendation, not a requirement. The only things that must be in place before you submit are that the inspection points have been assessed and that the inspection date is set.
