The inspection form sits as a task on the contract, and it must be assigned to the person who is actually going out on the job.
How to do it
- Open the contract under Documents.
- Look at the Tasks panel on the right. The task is called “Fire Prevention Electrical Inspection – Residential”.
- If it says “needs assignment”, or it is assigned to the wrong person, click Reassign.
- Choose the inspector who is to carry out the inspection.
Good to know
- The contract administrator is the default recipient of tasks on the contract. If someone else is going out, the task must be reassigned.
- The task shows the creation date, any due date, which party it concerns, and who it is assigned to.
- You can also reassign after the work has begun. Whatever is saved in the draft comes with it.
Tips
- Assign before the inspector travels out. Certificate numbers and thermographer details are taken from the profile of the person assigned, so a wrong assignment gives wrong details in the report.
- If the inspector is new to Hunit, add the user to the company first. See “Add user”.
Does the inspector see the contract if they are only assigned the task?
Being assigned the task gives access to carry it out. If the inspector needs to see the whole contract, the contract administrator must grant contract access. Changes to contract access are logged.
